It was made at Josiah Spode's Stoke works in the 18th century; the impressed SPODE mark belongs to the founding era of the factory, long before it became Copeland \u0026amp; Garrett in 1833. The blue tint of the pearlware glaze can be seen where it pools on the underside.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eFeather-edge tableware was a staple of the leading Staffordshire potteries in the late 18th century, and impressed examples by the major makers are sought after by collectors of early English pottery.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eCondition:\u003c\/strong\u003e light surface wear and scattered kiln specks consistent with age.
