Antique Bohemian Green Opaline Glass Vase Raised Gilt Enamel Cornucopia Jewelled

An antique opaline glass vase in a soft pistachio green, of squat baluster form with a short flared neck.

It is decorated in raised gilt and white enamel with a cornucopia spilling blue and white enamel beads and gilt foliage, framed by white enamel scrolls and set with applied green and red glass jewels. Decoration of this kind was a speciality of the Bohemian and French glasshouses in the later 19th century. The base is plain and unmarked.

Condition: light wear consistent with age. We have not found chips or cracks; please see the photos.
