Money Tree pattern antique Coalport British ceramics plate. Small hairline to the back. Otherwise good condition.
An attractive antique Coalport porcelain plate in the celebrated "Money Tree" pattern — one of the most enduring and collected of all 19th-century English chinoiserie designs, depicting figures beneath a stylised flowering tree in an Oriental landscape, executed in vibrant cobalt blue, iron red, gilt and polychrome enamels.
Coalport (Shropshire, est. 1795) was one of the great names of British porcelain, and their reinterpretations of Chinese export designs remain highly sought after by collectors. The "Money Tree" / "Indian Tree" / "Tree of Life" family of patterns is among their most recognisable.
The plate is in good condition overall. There is a small hairline noted to the reverse — please review all photographs carefully as it forms part of the description — but the front decoration and gilding are well preserved with strong colours.
An ideal piece for collectors of Coalport, English porcelain, antique British ceramics, or anyone furnishing a country house, dining room or display cabinet.
Will be carefully packed and dispatched fully tracked and insured. UK shipping; international buyers welcome via eBay's Global Shipping Programme.
