Antique Continental Dresden Style Porcelain Caryatid Vase Hand Painted 13.5cm

A finely painted Continental porcelain vase in the 19th-century Dresden / Paris taste, of baluster form raised on three gilt scroll feet with a pair of moulded caryatid (female bust) handles and applied floral garlands.

The hand painting is of notably high quality: one panel a landscape hunting scene with a hound coursing a wild boar, the reverse a naturalistic spray of garden flowers, the white ground scattered with painted insects and gilt sprigs.

The underside is gilt-decorated and the piece carries no factory mark, offered as unmarked Continental porcelain in the Dresden/Paris style.

Approximately 13.5cm high. Condition: generally good, but please note one caryatid head has been well restored/repaired and there is a small chip to the rim; gilt wear consistent with age. Please study all photographs, which form part of the description.
