Antique Derby Porcelain Imari Plate Cobalt Peony Red Mark 21cm AF

A Derby porcelain plate in the Imari palette, c.1806–1825, cobalt peony decoration in underglaze cobalt blue, iron red and gilding. Approximate size: diameter 21cm.

Marked to the base with the red painted crown, crossed batons, dots and D used by the Derby factory during the Duesbury and Bloor periods. Derby's Imari-palette dessert and dinner wares of this date are among the most sought-after of all English porcelain and remain highly decorative in any setting.
