Antique Dragons in Compartments Pattern Plate Chinoiserie Regency 22cm AF

An early 19th-century plate in the celebrated "Dragons in Compartments" pattern, c.1800–1820, painted with radiating compartments of chinoiserie figures, pagodas, dragons and flowers in green, pink, orange, blue and gilt. Approximate size: diameter 22cm.

"Dragons in Compartments" (sometimes called "Bengal Tiger" or "Kylin in Compartments") was made most famously by Chamberlain's Worcester and was taken up by several other English factories in the Regency period. This example is unmarked and I have not attributed it to a specific factory.
