An antique 18th-century portrait engraving of Sir Robert Berkeley, Knight (1584-1656), the judge of King's Bench, shown half-length in a deep ruff. Engraved by George Powle after the original painting then owned by Robert Berkeley Esq. of Spetchley, the sitter's great-grandson. An unframed sheet on laid paper.

Lettered below the oval: 'Sir ROBERT BERKELEY Kt. From an Original Painting in the Possession of Robert Berkeley Esq.r of Spetchley his Great Grand Son.' with the engraver's name.

Size: sheet approx. 23 x 18 cm. Marks: as lettered. Offered unframed - ideal for framing to choice.
