A finely potted Georgian drab-bodied stoneware jug, sprigged in white with a sporting scene between moulded borders and a chocolate-brown slip neck.
Impressed TURNER to the base, for John Turner & Sons of Lane End, Longton, c.1800.
Condition: Good condition. Heavy crazing (normal for type). Crazing and minor firing imperfections are consistent with age and are normal for this type of early stoneware. Please study all photographs closely, as they form part of the description.
Dimensions: approximately 11cm high.
