A Chinese Yixing (zisha) red stoneware teapot of compressed globular form, applied with polychrome enamel prunus blossom and fruit and with a domed cover.
The base bears an impressed seal mark. It measures approximately 10 cm wide. This is an older example.
Yixing teapots from Jiangsu province are highly collected, and enamel-decorated examples of this type are particularly attractive.
