Westbury Court, the Seat of Maynard Colchester Esq., a bird's-eye view drawn and engraved by Johannes Kip (J. Kip delin. et sculp.) for Sir Robert Atkyns' The Ancient and Present State of Gloucestershire, with the Colchester arms above. Hand coloured.

Kip's views are the most important record of the English country house and formal garden around 1700; Westbury Court's Dutch water garden, shown here with its canals and pavilion, survives today in the care of the National Trust.
