Nan Lurie Original Signed Pen & Ink Drawing Abstract Head Modernist WPA Artist

An original pen and ink drawing by Nan Lurie (1910-1985): a head built from a web of sweeping black lines, with pencil register marks at the corners. Signed Nan Lurie at the right.

Lurie was a WPA Federal Art Project printmaker whose lithographs are in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Smithsonian and the Art Institute of Chicago; this drawing shows her later, more abstract manner.

Presented in a cream painted frame with a black mount, behind glass. Overall size approx 36 x 24 cm.

Condition: good. Please see all photographs. Further works by Lurie from the same source are listed separately.
