Pair Chinese Famille Rose Turquoise Ground Bats & Shou Bowls Jingdezhen Mark

A matched pair of Chinese famille rose bowls decorated on a rich turquoise ground with iron-red bats (wufu) interspersed with circular shou longevity medallions, beneath a gilt and key-fret rim band with ruyi-head lappets. The interiors are plain white. The 'bats and shou' combination is a classic Chinese symbol of long life and good fortune. Each base carries an iron-red six-character mark reading Jiangxi Jingdezhen Zhi (江西景德鎮製, 'Made at Jingdezhen, Jiangxi'). This is a 20th-century commercial workshop mark, not an imperial reign mark; the bowls are Republic-period or later Jingdezhen ware. The bowls measure approximately 11 cm in diameter and are offered as a pair, which is how they are most desirable.
