Pair Turner Liber Studiorum Autotype Facsimiles Hind Head & St Catherines Hill

A matched pair of late 19th-century Autotype facsimiles after J.M.W. Turner, reproducing two plates from the Liber Studiorum: 'Hind Head Hill' and 'St Catherine's Hill near Guildford' — both Surrey (Portsmouth Road) subjects. The original plates were published 1811, the mezzotints engraved by Robert Dunkarton.

These are fine sepia Autotype carbon-print facsimiles produced by the Autotype Company, one inscribed 'Autotype Fac-simile' in the margin. They faithfully reproduce the original plates' lettering (the 1811 publication line and 'Engraved by Dunkarton'). Please note these are photographic facsimile reproductions, not original Turner mezzotints.
