Pair Viana do Castelo Portugal Hand Painted Bird Lidded Pots with Spoons Teresa

A pair of hand-painted pottery lidded pots from Viana do Castelo in northern Portugal, each modelled as a small bird. The head and back lift off as a lid, and each pot holds a matching spoon whose yellow-feathered handle forms the bird's tail.

They are painted in blue and yellow with dashed feathering. The base is hand-inscribed VIANA DO CASTELO, HAND PAINTED BY TERESA, MADE IN PORTUGAL, with a pattern number.
