A large vintage map of East Anglia at a scale of quarter-inch to one statute mile (1/253,440), with scales in miles and kilometres and contours at 200-foot intervals, covering the region down to the Thames estuary, Southend and Sheerness.

The margin carries a printed panel explaining how to give a grid reference on the sheet, using lettered squares and co-ordinate figures.
