Wedgwood Jasperware potpourri, dark blue, early 19th century. Good condition overall, chipped to foot rim.

A genuinely fine early 19th-century Wedgwood dark blue Jasperware potpourri bowl — one of the most iconic forms in the Wedgwood Jasperware canon, with its richly applied white classical figures in low relief on the celebrated deep blue ground.

The decoration is sharply applied in the early-19th-century manner, with crisp definition to the figures and acanthus borders. Wedgwood Jasperware of this period — produced at the Etruria works under the second-generation Wedgwoods — is increasingly sought after by collectors as quality production from the period becomes harder to find.

Approximate diameter 18 cm. In good condition overall with strong relief and clean colour. There is a chip noted to the foot rim — please see all photographs carefully — which does not affect display from above.

An excellent piece for collectors of antique Wedgwood, English Jasperware, or Regency-period decorative arts.

Will be carefully packed and dispatched fully tracked and insured. UK shipping; international buyers welcome via eBay's Global Shipping Programme.
