A fine Wedgwood drabware conical vase in cream and gold — drabware being the muted matt stoneware body developed by Wedgwood in the 18th century and revived in the 19th, here richly highlighted with gilt accents.

The understated cream tone of drabware is increasingly fashionable with collectors and interior designers, sitting beautifully alongside both period and contemporary settings. The conical form is elegant and architectural.

Approximate height 10.5 cm. There is a small star crack noted to one side (please see all photographs); otherwise the vase is in good condition with well-preserved gilding.
