A beautifully rendered drypoint etching by the celebrated British artist William Lee-Hankey RI, RWS, RE (1869–1952). The composition depicts an elderly woman in a headscarf, seated and attending to a young infant, rendered with the artist's characteristic mastery of cross-hatched shadow and intimate domestic atmosphere. Signed in pencil below the plate with the artist's monogram stamp. Presented in a period mount. A fine example of Lee-Hankey's genre work in the Dutch tradition. Dimensions: 45 x 3 x 42 cm.
